NHBA travels to D.C. in support of Judge Sonia Sotomayor
On behalf of Nebraska Hispanic Bar Association (NHBA), Shirley A. Mora James, President of NHBA, traveled to Washington D.C. and met privately with both United States Senators Ben Nelson and Mike Johanns to gain their support for Judge Sonia Sotomayor. Senator Ben Nelson indicated he will vote for Judge Sonia Sotomayor's ascension to the United States Supreme Court. This effort was a joint collaboration between Nebraska Hispanic Bar Association and Latinas Unidas to ensure that the collective voice of Nebraskan Latina/os are being presented and heard in Washington D.C.
